Team collaboration gives fresh design approach, annual report, Eden Design

Project Description

This 162 page annual report was a team collaboration effort between Eden Design, Kāpiti Coast District Council (KCDC), and the copywriter. Eden Design was briefed to establish a look and feel and layout the cover, section covers, and first section 'overview'.

The Objective:

Establish an engaging look and feel for the cover and first section (30 pages). Celebrate Kāpiti and the diversity of services, local activities and events that it offers.

The Solution:

The design of this document allows space for the reader to digest the content and graphics easily, whilst in keeping with the Council brand guidelines. The combination of brand colours was chosen to bring a lightness and freshness to the look and feel. Photos supplied by KCDC are distributed throughout to create sectional flow and support content.

With the 'activities and services' section predominantly co-ordinated inhouse at KCDC, Eden Design was tasked to create 54 infographic pullout panels that highlighted key statistics relevant to the page. These provide visual interest and engagement in an otherwise text-heavy section of the publication.
