CentrePort E-learning
Project Description
Located in Wellington, CentrePort is New Zealand's most strategically situated intermodal hub, linking road, rail, domestic and international shipping services. As a result their staff need to be trained on a regular basis to ensure a smooth running and safe port operation.
Objectives:
CentrePort's e-learning team approached Eden with the need to revitalise the design of their e-learning modules.
In order to improve staff engagement with online training, the module designs needed to:
- Meet CentrePorts accessibility guidelines
- Be visually engaging
- Have a more practical rather than corporate approach
- Be brand aligned
Result:
The new modules were built in both Storyline and Rise for flexibility for the inhouse CentrePort team. The design has a handwritten sketch style, working in with an existing CentrePort style. Each slide contains flexibility for a variety of content scenarios, whilst content has been kept brief and visual, rather than lengthy and text heavy.
The success of the module design resulted in the design of a complimentary workbook for both participants and facilitators, which has since been rolled out across new CentrePort e-learning modules.
